The Rhetorical Analysis (RA) paper was designed to showcase our understanding of how genre and/or historical context can shape a text. This required me to undergo a close reading of at text, in this case Richard Matheson's horror novel, I Am Legend, in order to make conclusions about how Matheson manipulated horror genre expectations and worldwide tensions during the 1950's to make his novel popular among a specific audience.
